I’ve found out lately now that I’m finally “mom” just how many questions I have on a daily basis! I went from being a virtual expert in conception, reproduction, and pregnancy (I spent 4+ years trying to get pregnant!), that when it finally happened I felt so calm and confident…I had spent years researching this topic! Now that Rea is here, I’ve been not only surprised by how much parenting can come naturally…but also by how many questions I come up with every single day.
Rea is 4 months on TODAY! I can’t believe how fast time is flying – that’s another one of those things you hear people say will happen, but until it does it’s hard to imagine. It feels like yesterday when she joined our family, and now it’s almost time to transition her from formula to baby food! Talk about a mystery…I have no clue what it means to go to baby food!
I know I want to stay as natural as possible when introducing food, but I’m not sure I’ll always have the time to create food myself. So, as is my way, I turned to the Interwebs to shed some light on this topic, and I was so excited to learn about Baby Gourmet. Their foods are all-natural, organic, and created with no thickeners or fillers. I am so excited to introduce Rea to foods, and sticking to as natural options as possible means a lot! Baby Gourmet’s foods have no unnecessary added sugar or salt, and their packaging is BPA free and re-sealable.
When Baby Gourmet offered to send me samples of their foods to review, I was surprised by the variety and the cute packaging!

This looks so tasty, I can’t wait for Rea to try it!
Not only does the packaging make clear what kinds of foods are inside, but the packages hardly take up any room, making them great for travel and every day storage!

I love all the bright colors and the fact that these are re-sealable! Hopefully Rea won’t be too picky of an eater…
Within a few minutes of looking at these packets, I soon discovered my FAVORITE part! Each package is specifically designed for a specific age range of in mind. For example, some packages are labled as “stage one” for babies who are around 6 months and just being introduced to foods for the first time. These packages contain simple purees with classic flavors like sweet potato, and fun sounding flavors like Harvest Pear, Pumpkin and Banana.

I can’t tell you how happy I am to have some simple guidelines of what to feed her when!

Sweet Potato Pie? Yes Please!

I’ve always preferred organic when I can for myself…but I’m even more hyper-aware of it for Rea. Something tells me I’m going to become a label fiend!
Baby Gourmet also offers foods that are designated for Stage 2 (7 months+) and Stage 3 (8 months+) as well. Once again, as a new mom I love that! Feeding time has just gone from being a daunting task to me to one that I’m looking forward to!
If you want to learn more about Baby Gourmet – head on over to their website and check out their story, and all their flavors! If there are any other Texas moms out there reading this, you’re in luck, because Baby Gourmet is now available at Walmart locations around Texas!
Is there a special baby in your life who is about to jump in to the adventure of trying new foods? You’re in luck:
